Couture Captures the Victory by Triangle Choke
By: Dux

The son of MMA hall of famer, former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion, Randy Couture, made his pro MMA debut last night on Strikeforce Challengers. He took on Lucas Stark who is also a new comer to Strikeforce.
The fight was pretty exciting. They had a few exchanges and then some grappling which lead to Ryan Couture winning. Lucas Stark hit Couture with an awesome fireman's carry, but in doing so he left his neck exposed and Couture got a picture-perfect triangle. Lucas quickly tapped.
It was a really slick BJJ move, and it's interesting to see how he contrasts from his dad. Seeing as how his dad comes from a strong wrestling base, Randy hardly ever gets put on his back. The fight was really short, only got to a minute and five seconds before Stark tapped. I can't wait to see Ryan in the octagon again soon.
